Top 10 points that describe Uganda as a land of possibility.

Uganda a country in East Africa is rich in natural resources and is home to a diverse range of wildlife, biodiversity, and flora and fauna. My name is Emmanuel Katto also known as Emmanuel Katto Uganda or Emka Uganda. I’m a local journalist from Uganda. Most of you might know many things about Uganda or most might not. Today I will tell you the top 10 points that describe Uganda as a land of possibility. To know more please scroll down. 

1. Uganda is a landlocked country often described as the “Pearl of Africa” due to its diverse natural resources. 

2. Uganda is home to prominent lakes such as Lake Albert, Lake Victoria, Lake Kyoga, and many more. That offers the largest spot for freshwater and Lake Albert which is rich in crude oil shows a capacity of 6.5 million barrels. 

3. Uganda has the largest number of young population, which is a good sign depicting the potential of the workforce. 

4. The River Nile that flows in Uganda offers abundant water resources that primarily fulfil power generation, irrigation, and other agricultural facilities. 

5. Lake Victoria is the largest freshwater body located near the equator, which is quite ideal for agriculture. It offers warm temperatures and fertile soil that enhances agricultural practices. 

6. Uganda also attracts tourism. Famous tourist spots includes Murchison Falls National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Queen Elizabeth National Park, and Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary. 

7. There is also a possibility of investment in Uganda. Such as the possibility of trade, tourism, culture, technology transfer, and human development. 

8. The economy of Uganda is quite liberated, allowing 100% land for foreign and private investment. 

9. According to the reports around 19 million hectares of land is suitable for agriculture in Uganda and only 1% is used for fruits and vegetable cultivation. This shows a wide possibility of agriculture in Uganda. 

10. Uganda has the possibility or potential to be the “food basket” of the East African economy. The major crops here are rice and maize which are also GDP-adding value crops mainly utilized for export purposes. Other crops such as soya beans, sunflower, cotton, sugarcane, etc. are abundantly grown here and also used for export after consumption. Tea and coffee are the export crops here and Uganda is also home to floriculture that is mainly exported to Europe and USA. 

In conclusion, we can say that Uganda has tremendous possibilities in investment and attracting foreign direct investment. Its diverse range of natural and wildlife resources along with the heritage of culture make it a progressive and unique country in the East Africa region.
